William B. Hart, M.D., is a leading ophthalmologist in the Lake Area and has spent more than 40 years correcting, protecting and restoring his patients’ vision. Dr. Hart has performed thousands of eye surgeries for patients suffering from a range of eye conditions and injuries. He specializes in cataract surgeries, laser refractive surgeries and dry eye syndrome, and treats conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and eye injuries.
Dr. Hart graduated from McNeese State University with two bachelor’s degrees, and received his M.D. degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology training at Charity Hospital in New Orleans.
He is a second-generation ophthalmologist: his father, Dr. Clinton Hart, practiced ophthalmology in Lake Charles for 53 years.
